"Balkán" v novořecké kultuře
19. prosince náš kolega P. Marazopoulos prezentoval v Αténách svou novou knihu "Balkán" v novořecké kultuře (Τα "Βαλκάνια" στη νεοελληνική κουλτούρα). Knihu uvedli akademici z Patraské a Vídeňské univerzity.
The event represents an opportunity for beginning researchers to present their work. This event is a continuation of similar colloquiums held biennially since 2005. On these occasions, young scholars from various universities submitted their contributions, most of which were published in the conference proceedings or the journal Graeco Latina Brunensia.
As we have received many requests for an extended submission deadline, we have now decided to extend the deadline to August 31, 2022.
The conference is planned to be held as a traditional “offline” one. If the pandemic situation makes it necessary to switch to online, we will inform you in due course. Parallel sessions and panel discussions will be scheduled over three days. Papers will be grouped by thematic sessions:
There will also be several additional events. The complete conference programme will be available at the conference website.
Individual 20-minute paper presentations will be followed by 5 minutes of discussion. The conference language is English, German, Italian, or French.
Posters will be on display throughout the conference and a special award will be offered for outstanding poster presentation.
The standard registration fee is 65 EUR / 1 600 CZK.
The participation fee includes: reception meal (as specified in the conference programme), and refreshments during coffee breaks.
The participation fee does not include: hotel booking and payment. The organizers recommend Hotel Continental, where university guests get a price reduction, or University Hotel Garni.
Payment should be made by bank transfer until October 10, 2022 (detailed instructions will be sent together with the acceptance notification).
If the conference takes place as an online one, the registration fee will be reduced to minimum.
All papers will be considered for publication in the Graeco-Latina Brunensia. Articles published in this journal are covered by the following databases: Lʼannée philologique, Medioevo Latino, Poiesis, ERIH, and SCOPUS.
Abstracts of papers to be presented in English, German, Italian, or French are invited for consideration by the Conference Academic Committee. Please submit your abstract (up to 200 words for paper presentation; up to 100 words for posters) until August 31, 2022, via the online registration form.
Acceptance notification will be sent to you until September 10, 2022.
Shall you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
