Cooperation with Yale University
In 2014, a solution was found that offers students the opportunity to study authentic archaeological material from northern Mesopotamia and the foothills of the Zagros Mountains despite the current situation in the Near East. Under the auspices of MU the Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the Department of Anthropology at Yale University. This agreement grants PANE the priviledged opportunity to study of collections of prehistoric and ancient finds from Syria and archaeological material from excavation in Iran (prof. Frank Hole’s research) that are situated at Yale (Peabody Museum). Cooperation of MU and Yale University offers not only the opportunity to work on the premises of Peabody Museum but also joint publishing in renowned scientific publishing series and gives the students and lecturers from Brno the possibility to use material from Yale for the purposes of diploma theses, scientific studies, and conference presentations.
