International Public Reading of Virgil

Traditionally, the Department of Classical Studies of the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University is one of the few institutions in Central Europe to join the international simultaneous reading of ancient authors organized by the University of Lyon as part of the European Festival of Latin and Greek Poetry. This year, it will be the turn of a Latin author once again, namely no less than Virgil. We will be reading from Book 2 of his Aeneid ​in the Reading Room on the ground floor of Building D in Czech and Slovak translation, but Latin will also be heard.
