International Public Reading of Aristophanes

Traditionally, the Department of Classical Studies of the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University is one of the few institutions in Central Europe to join the international simultaneous reading of ancient authors organized by the University of Lyon as part of the European Festival of Latin and Greek Poetry. This year it's the turn of a Greek author again, and it's going to be hilarious: Aristophanes. We will read from his comedy The Assemblywomen ​in the Reading Room on the ground floor of Building D in Czech and Slovak translation, but Ancient Greek will also be heard.
