Please note! The library is currently switching from the old ticket loan system to a new automated one. For the time being, books can only be requested and reserved through the librarians (in person or by email), not via the online catalog. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact a librarian.
As a branch library, we adhere to the Library and operating regulations of the Central Library of the Faculty of Arts at Masaryk University; however, we do not offer interlibrary loans or copying services.
Since we are a branch of the Central Library of the Faculty of Arts at Masaryk University, we cannot lend you books without registration. The Central Library is located right on the Faculty of Arts campus next to Building C, so it’s really just a few steps away from us. Registration takes only a few minutes and is free.
We lend books with your student ID card (ISIC), but if you know your UČO number by heart, just tell us what it is, and we won’t need your ISIC—we’ll be able to look you up in the catalog.
You can find it in the online library catalog. If you’re in a hurry, you can email us the Call Number in advance at knihovna.uks@phil.muni.cz, and we’ll have the book ready for you. Most of our books are stored in the warehouse, so locating them may take a while. In addition, some books are kept in faculty members' offices, and we must first contact them to request their loan.
To contact the librarians, please use the shared email knihovna.uks@phil.muni.cz or extension 4455.
